Oral Fluid/Saliva Drug Testing
While there is an extended window of detection in other specimens, research continues to show that oral fluid testing has a superior ability for early detection of drug usage. Research has shown that oral fluid may detect drug usage within the first four to five hours and up to four days after last use. This short term window of detection may be beneficial for post-accident or reasonable suspicion testing. In some cases, it will return a positive result immediately after usage.
